Interior innovation award for hanger Tee and chair 002

A new coat-hanger Tee by the designer Jan Padrnos and chair 002 by Jaroslav Juřica won a prestigious Interior Innovation Award 2012.

Thus both products comply with the strict criteria both in the field of technical workmanship and a practical application, as well as in the field of modern design. The same award won a bar chair RIOJA by Lounge Designdroup last year. In this way TON continues with the series of awards won this year. The best known is for instance the Reddot Design Award 2011 for the MERANO armchair or Honourable Mention within the Reddot Design Award 2011 for PETALO silent servant.

Interior innovation award

The competition - Interior Innovation Award – presents prestigious awards focused on interior furniture. It originated in 2002 at the IMM Fair Cologne and the organizer of the competition is the German Design Council. Through this competition IMM Kolín and the German Design Council managed to create an effective tool thanks to which companies gain added value for their products and a special position in the interior furniture market.

Coat-hanger Tee
The Tee coat-hanger comes from the design department of a Czech designer Jan Padrnos. It is an outright novelty which will be put on sale at the beginning of 2012. According to the designer, this is a coat-hanger which won’t take much space vertically, yet it is of large capacity.  Advantage of this coat-hanger is variable height level, so even small children can reach it as a result, which many hangers do not allow as yet. The coat-hanger is intended for those who like pure minimalisms. It is fully functional and uses very few means to it, both in terms of material and shape.

Chair 002
The Chair 002 was created as a price winning design of the competition “Bentwood no Limits“, which took place on the occasion of 150 years of bentwood furniture in Bystřici pod Hostýnem. So the designer Jaroslav Juřica continued with the tradition of Michael Thonet and, with the same comfort and perfect design preserved, he put his legendary chair No. 14, which consists of 6 parts, a bit further. He divided six by two and the 002 came into being.
